Cubify Design Software from 3D Systems is a powerful 3D design application for creating drawings or sharing the data with other 3D software. Cubify provides basic 2D drawing tools so you can communicate your project to others. Optimized for 3D printing, Cubify Design does not limit how many parts you can have in your model, but it may be limited by your own computer specifications.
Cubify Design allows you to create an entire assembly of parts. You can create these parts by drawing them in 2D, then spinning and pulling the 2D shapes. You can also import IGES, STEP, SAT, DXF, and DWG files and edit them in Cubify Design. During the import of these files, you can try to heal the model to make it 3D printable. Many, though not all, models can be healed. Files originally designed in Cubify Design shouldn't require any healing.
Cubify Design works in conjunction with the Cube software that is included with your Cube or CubeX 3D printer. While files in Cubify Design are saved as AD_PART and AD_ASM files, you can export them to the STL format so the Cube software can read it.
Please note that Cubify Design cannot import mesh models such as STL or OBJ, though it can export to STL.
