Cubify Invent Software from 3D Systems is a powerful 3D design application that's easy to use and optimized for 3D printing. It is best used for 3D models that were originally made to be 3D printed and can make anything from very simple objects to very complex shapes. You can create shapes in 2D, and spin or pull the 2D shapes to create your 3D model.
You can import STEP, IGES, SAT, and Solidworks file formats to Cubify Invent. This allows you to create and load single parts. During the import of these files, you can try to heal the model to make it 3D printable. Many, though not all, models can be healed. Files originally designed in Cubify Invent shouldn't require any healing.
Cubify Invent works in conjunction with the Cube software that is included with your Cube or CubeX 3D printer. While files in Cubify Invent are saved as FUN files, you can export them to the STL format so the Cube software can read it.
Please note that if your imported files contains multiple parts, you will not be able to load it into Cubify Invent. Also, Cubify Invent does not open mesh models such as STL and OBJ. Cubify Invent is meant to streamline your 3D printing processor and does not include any 2D drawing tools.
