This effort lead to the release of SmartScore for Windows and Macintosh in 1996. SmartScore has evolved to become an indispensable tool for transcribing, part extraction / merging as well as playback and reprinting of optically captured sheet music and MIDI files, MIDI recording and MIDI sequencing.
