specific and are targeted at reducing the total cost of ownership.
Licensing of software allows an Institution to legally
run a copy of a software package for each license purchased. Licensing
of software is great for departments or labs that require many installed
copies of a software package, but do not need media/ manuals for each
user. Many licensing programs also feature "maintenance",
that provide "upgrade insurance" to the Institution -- ensuring
