Rhino 3D 7 - the most powerful NURBS 3D CAD Industrial Design and modeling tool from Robert McNeel. Rhino 7 for Windows and Mac is the best industrial design modeling software, architectural design and CAD. Complicated shapes can be directly modeled with Rhino 7 or acquired through 3D digitizers. Thanks to the most powerful NURBS based engine you can create, edit, analyze, and translate curves, surfaces, and solids. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size.

McNeel's Rhinoceros 3D also supports polygon meshes and point clouds for complete coverage of geometric data types. With its unparalleled NURBS modeling power this Software lets you focus on designing, not on cumbersome modeling workarounds.

Robert McNeel Rhino 7 – Key Features:

Rhino 7 is the most significant upgrade in its product history. You can create organic shapes with our new SubD tools. Run Rhino and Grasshopper as a Revit® Add-On with Rhino.Inside.Revit. Use the robust QuadRemesh algorithm to create a beautiful quad mesh from NURBS geometry or meshes. With this release, completely new modeling workflows have been unlocked and many steadfast features have been refined .

SubD

For designers who need to explore organic shapes quickly, SubD is a new geometry type that can create editable, highly accurate shapes. Unlike other geometry types, SubD combines free-form accuracy while still allowing quick editing.

Accurate, organic modeling just got easier. Push and pull to explore complex, free-form shapes in realtime.

SubD objects are highly accurate and can be converted directly to manufacturable solids. You can also convert scan or mesh data into SubD objects, then optionally to NURBS.

Rhino.Inside.Revit

Rhino.Inside.Revit brings the power of Rhino and Grasshopper to the Autodesk Revit® environment.

Rhino.Inside is a new technology that allows embedding Rhino into other 64-bit Windows applications. Rhino.Inside.Revit is based on this technology and provides a platform for an unprecedented level of integration between Rhino and Revit.

Grasshopper brings a collection of new components for interacting with Revit, as well as providing access to the two software APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) using its script components.

QuadRemesh

Quickly create a quad mesh from existing surfaces, solids, meshes, or SubDs—ideal for rendering, animation, CFD, FEA, and reverse-engineering.

Display

Rhino’s display pipeline balances speed and beauty, displaying your models fast, how you want them, while you work. Rhino’s display pipeline is fast and uses modern graphics hardware features, like GPU sensitive shaders and memory optimizations. This results in fewer GPU-specific display glitches and more consistent, beautiful, and frequent frames, even with large models. Features include extremely fast 3D graphics, unlimited viewports, shaded, working views, perspective working views, named views, floating views, full-screen display, draw order support, two?point perspective, clipping planes, and one-to-one scale to view models at full size.

Grasshopper

  • Rhino 7 adds some new components, and makes it easier to turn your programs into plugins:
  • Grasshopper Player - Turn your Grasshopper definitions into Rhino commands.
  • Clash Detection - Quickly find where your objects occupy the same space.
  • Grasshopper Component Placeholders - Placeholder component for missing plugins.

Presentation

Rhino 7 has improved presentation tools, streamlining the workflow with a major update to the Rhino Render engine, so the same look you get in your Raytraced viewport can be rendered without any changes. Support for PBR materials, a LayerBook command, and more features have been added.

  • PBR Materials. Physically Based Rendering Materials are beautiful and easy to use.
  • Denoisers. Denoisers produce high-quality renderings in a fraction of the time.
  • Emissive Materials. Create self-lit objects commonly found in consumer electronics.
  • Light Falloff. Specifies how lighting intensity changes when light travels in the scene.
  • LayerBook. Present ideas quickly with LayerBook.
  • Gradient and Transparent Hatches. Create attractive 2D representations in a few steps.

Rhino Refined

In Rhino 7, hundreds of bugs have been fixed, but there are also new workflow improvements like Named Selections, Mold Making tools, a Single-Line font for engraving, and improved interoperation with third-party file formats.

  • Named Selections. Quickly save and restore previously selected objects.
  • Mold Making Tools. For mold makers and tool designers, Rhino puts the mold creation “model-test-revise” workflow on rails.
  • Single-Line Fonts. Improve the speed and quality of CNC engravings during the fabrication process.

Documentation

Modeling is just one part of the design process; you also need to show how to build what is on the screen. We’ve improved many parts of the documentation workflow while also focusing on the more graphically-rich illustration tools like transparency and gradient hatches.

  • Gradient and Transparent Hatches. Create attractive 2D representations in a few steps.
  • Layout Management. Vertical panel makes it easier to manage models with many drawings.
  • Enhanced Text Fields. Text fields are text formulas that can dynamically update.

Development Platform

Rhino 7 brings major improvements to our free SDKs, with API refinements, better documentation, and some major new features that broaden and deepen the foundations of the geometry development platform.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Uninhibited free-form 3-D modeling tools like those found only in high-end systems. Model any shape you can imagine.
  • Accuracy needed to design, prototype, engineer, analyze, and manufacture anything from an airplane to jewelry.
  • Compatibility with all your other design, drafting, CAM, engineering, analysis, rendering, animation, and illustration software.
  • Read and repair extremely challenging IGES files.
  • Accessible. So easy to learn and use that you can focus on design and visualization without being distracted by the software.
  • Fast, even on an ordinary laptop computer. No special hardware is needed.
  • Development platform for hundreds of specialty 3D products.
