The Yamaha FGX800C Acoustic Electric Folk Guitar (Natural) is a full-sized acoustic/electric guitar with a single-cutaway dreadnought-style body made with a solid spruce top, and nato/okume back and sides with a natural finish. Well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band, the FGX800C utilizes a newly developed scalloped bracing design, which results in a powerful and balanced acoustic sound with strong lows and mids when used unplugged. For amplified performances, the FGX800C also includes a proprietary undersaddle piezo pickup and System 66 analog preamp, which features a volume control, 3-band EQ, mid-freq Q control, and onboard chromatic tuner.
The Yamaha FGX800C Acoustic Electric Folk Guitar (Natural) has a nato neck with a smooth matte finish for ease in playing and is equipped with a set of chrome die-cast tuners on the headstock. The fingerboard and bridge are both made of rosewood, while the nut and saddle are made from urea. Additional features include black ABS bridge pins to secure the strings, black body binding, white and black soundhole inlay, and a tortoise-patterned pickguard.
