On July 1st, 2026, Microsoft will raise the prices on Microsoft 365 plans for non-profit and commercial customers. This is being done along with additional offerings with AI, security and management capabilities.
Existing customers will remain on their current pricing plan until their renewal.
Here's a rundown of the new additions coming to Microsoft 365 plans for nonprofit and commercial customers.
Copilot (Microsoft's AI platform) will now include inbox and calendar awareness. It'll also be integrated with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. IT admins will receive access to enterprise controls for managing Copilot usage.
Microsoft Office 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E3 plans will now include Microsoft Defender Plan 1. This provides additional protection against phishing, malware and suspicious links.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Basics and Microsoft Office 365 E1 will all receive URL protection to ensure safer link handling.
Microsoft Office 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E3 plans will now include Microsoft Defender Plan 1. This provides additional protection against phishing, malware and suspicious links.

Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 will both receive added Intune Remote Help, advanced analytics and Plan 2 capabilities. E5 will also receive Endpoint Privilege Management, Enterprise Application Management, and Cloud PKI.
All Microsoft 365 E5 customers will receive Microsoft Security Copilot. This comes with over 70 built in agents across Defender, Entra, Intune and Purview.
